Found this article which got me wondering:
http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/225318
I put in red my concerns and green those activities that look promising to me
Bookkeeping (privacy and confidentiality issues)
Online Research (looks promising depending on VA's analytical and reading skills)
Database entries (privacy and confidentiality issues)
Data presentations (privacy and confidentiality issues)
Managing email (privacy and confidentiality issues)
Social tasks (interesting when writing out to customers/clients but obviously personal touches will be more appreciated)
Travel Research (need to be pointed to the right forums and gain expertise to make it worthwhile)
Scheduling
Industry knowledge prep (similar to online research)
This is one good example of value added VA work:
Chasing business: Prioritizing potential business opportunities can be challenging, but virtual assistants can help with the process. When deciding what to sell on eBay, for example, O'Brien asks his virtual assistant to look around for products that can be profitable to resell. "I give them quite a few websites to visit, and they take it from there," he says. "They look for clearance items and other types of products."
