Hamill, an independent film based on the life of UFC light-heavyweight Matt Hamill, has been named the winner of the Breakthrough category of the 2010 American Film Institute Film Festival in Los Angeles.The award is considered a major prize on the film festival circuit, and could help the movie secure a distribution deal.
