Since the emergence of those now infamous pictures of her smoking, Stacey Solomon has found herself at the centre of a torrent of criticism. Now all that backlash has taken its toll on the singer; she broke down in tears while appearing on This Morning a short time ago.
The singer started off her chat with hosts Phil and Holly by saying:
'At the end of the day, nothing that I can say makes it right. All I can say is that from the day I found out that I was pregnant, I have tried my best to give up. I completely understand why people would be angry, because for some people it's uncomprehendable? (yes we are aware uncomprehendable isn?t a word but that?s what Stacey said, ironically)
'I understand that it's a selfish thing to do, so I don't think the comments are unjustified, although I do thing some are a bit harsh.'
When asked how she felt about being cut from the Celeb Mum of The Year line-up, she replied:
?I feel that they have to set a good example so it's absolutely their decision and I have to accept it because at the end of the day they can't be seen to support that.'
Stacey added that she?s smoking between 1 and 3 cigarettes a day but is doing her best to quit. She got emotional as she said:
'I don't condone it in any way and I think it's important that people know that. I don't want people to think it's OK or that I think it's OK.'
