With that mischievous twinkle in his eyes, that body to die for and that winning grin ? is anyone really surprised Gerard Butler managed to win over a married lady?
No, thought not. According to reports, the actor has been named in the divorce papers of an anonymous rising Hollywood starlet who he allegedly had an affair with for several months last year. A source told a US website yesterday:
?It was a very intense relationship. She had very strong feelings for Gerard, despite the fact that she was a newlywed at the time.
'They would exchange heated text messages, emails and phone calls. She would drop anything to be with Gerard.
'The two would hook up at his hotel when he was in Los Angeles.'
Eventually the husband of the woman, who it?s claimed Butler was having an affair with, found out about his wife?s extra curricular activities and threatened to break-up with her. She then begged him to take her back, however the illicit relationship continued and eventually divorce proceedings were initiated.
Its thought the unnamed actress believed Gerard would then start off a proper relationship with her once her marriage was over but then found out he was: ?involved with other girls, and hadn't been exactly honest with her about what was going on in his life.'
It all got a bit messy after that with the actress repeatedly calling Gerard, he never responded and the two apparently haven?t spoken since the Scottish star entered rehab.
