When we first heard reports that Simon Cowell plans to offer the winner of this year?s Britain?s Got Talent the chance to perform in space, we presumed it was some sort of joke, but apparently not.
Cowell has reportedly been in talks with Sir Richard Branson about blasting the winner into orbit on Virgin Galactic.
Oh, and did we mention that Virgin are sponsoring the show this year? But we?re sure that?s got nothing to do with Simon suddenly thinking this is a good idea.
He said, ?We are trying to work out a way so that the winner of the show gets to go up in the spacecraft and will be the first person to perform in space.?
The music mogul is planning to go on the spaceship with the winner and he said, ?I will make it happen. If it had been a few years ago Susan Boyle could have been singing Unchained Melody in front of the whole planet.?
Is anybody else finding the thought of SuBo being propelled into space quite amusing? Forget this year?s winner; just send Susan and maybe her cat as well. �Now that?s a TV show we?d like to watch.
