'Hunger Games' Oscars Party: A How-To

In this week's Hobnobbing, we plan your Panem-themed Academy Awards fete.
By Amy Wilkinson

Jennifer Lawrence in "The Hunger Games"

Well, the 84th annual Academy Awards are right around the corner, and though "Hunger Games" fans have another year to wait until the big-screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins' teen novel is awards-eligible (we've got you in our crosshairs, Best Picture nomination!), that doesn't mean we can't celebrate in revolutionary style. And we're making it super easy for you hungry film buffs out there. We've carefully composed a step-by-step guide to throwing your very own "Hunger Games"-themed Oscars party. Dig in!

Reap Your Attendees
Just like Panem's most prestigious event, you can't let the entire dystopian nation into your Oscars get-together. Write each of your friends' names down on a slip of paper, drop them into a bowl and select only 24 pals to enjoy your bean dip and Billy Crystal-shaped Jell-O mold. They'll thank you for it in the end.

Set Up a Groom Room
Tributes — I mean, guests — can't even think of setting foot into the arena of your living room without first dividing their unibrows and conquering their hairy gams. Clear a common space (who needs privacy?) for your pals to primp and polish (sans Cinna and company, unfortunately) before the opening ceremonies. Stock generously with Capitol Colours nail polish.

Let the Games Begin!
OK, full disclosure: This isn't so much a party as it is a cinephilic death match — only one guest can survive. Print Oscar ballots for each attendee (our friends at NextMovie have a handy, downloadable version) and be sure they fill out every category. Eliminate each incorrect guest, ushering them out of your home one by one (anthem optional) until you're left with a single, exhausted winner.

Cue the Parade
Six months later (August 26, to be exact), you'll want to invite the winner back to your house or apartment for their victory tour. Knock on each of your neighbors' doors (starting with the highest number) and request they throw you a huge celebratory feast. Gratis.

Your Hobnobbing Gamemakers guarantee this will be one party Panem will be talking about for years to come! May the Oscars be ever in your favor!

Just spotted: Sarah Harding in North London?

Seeing as the sun is beaming down on London right now you would think there would plenty of celebrities milling about the place.

In fact Primrose Hill is usually a hive of celeb activity, but today? Not so much. How strange. Where are they all hiding?

Unfortunately, the only remotely exciting person we spotted was Sarah Harding.

The former Girls Aloud singer had a big smile on her face as she grabbed a coffee and took her pet pooch, Claude for a walk a short while ago.

Amazing Spider-Man Makes His Mark In New York

MTV News joins Spidey supporters to spread the friendly neighborhood web-slinger's insignia all across Manhattan.
By Josh Wigler

NEW YORK — Spider-Man needs support. Sure, he's better off than most: Spinning webs and climbing walls does have its perks. But a strong superhero is nothing without a strong base of supporters championing his every move — something that isn't exactly easy for Spidey to accomplish with the Daily Bugle painting him as a menace on every other front page.

Perhaps MTV News can show the hero in a different light. Last Friday, we were invited to join a small group of passionate supporters to spread the mark of Spider-Man all across New York City. Our mission: to travel to predetermined locations throughout Manhattan to tag specific walls with the Amazing Spider-Man's famous insignia. "That's kind of odd," you might be saying to yourself. But there was nothing odd about it to Abigail Flynn, one of the carefully selected Spidey supporters out in full force on behalf of the amazing web-slinger.

"We're supporting Spider-Man," Flynn told MTV News of the campaign. "We're putting up the mark of the Spider-Man around the city to spread awareness and spread his message."

Fellow web-head Walter Sojda added, "He's fighting for the little guy. We have to show that in New York, we care about Spider-Man. We're supporting him here."

New York isn't the only place Spider-Man has recently found support. All last week, the superhero's message was spread throughout five other American cities, including Los Angeles, Seattle and Atlanta. Clearly, the hero's national awareness is on the rise — good timing, no doubt, considering he has a movie on the way!

Spreading the mark of Spider-Man isn't the only thing that has our spider senses tingling here at MTV News. Early last week, MTV Splash Page received a mysterious backpack in the mail, with no explanation as to its origin other than a haphazardly attached piece of duct tape reading "Property of Peter Parker." Spidey's supporters were tight-lipped when asked about Parker's identity, so the connection between the two remains unclear for now.

Here's something that is clear: Despite what the Bugle says, there's a whole lot of love out there for your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man — and Manhattan has the mark to prove it.

Are you following the mark of Spider-Man? Let us know in the comments or hit me up on Twitter at @roundhoward!

Oscars 2012 Predictions: Best Actor

It's George Clooney and Jean Dujardin's for the taking, but Gary Oldman can't be underestimated in this up-in-the-air race.
By Josh Wigler

George Clooney in "The Descendants"
Photo: 20th Century Fox

The Academy Awards are shaping up to be a veritable death match between "The Artist" and "The Descendants." Michel Hazanavicius' nostalgia-driven silent film and Alexander Payne's set-in-Hawaii spiritual journey are the front-runners at the Oscars this year, with most onlookers divided on which of these two films will walk away with the top prizes.

Looking beyond Best Picture, the battle between "Artist" and "Descendants" is guaranteed to come down to the Best Actor category. Though five actors are nominated, all signs are pointing to two names for the highly coveted award: George Clooney, nominated for his heartbroken and heartbreaking turn as soon-to-be-widower Matt King in "The Descendants," and Jean Dujardin's performance in "The Artist" as George Valentin, a silent-film actor on the verge of extinction.

Both Clooney and Dujardin are deserving candidates to be sure, but are they guaranteed the win? Could there be a spoiler in the mix? Read on for our predictions and wishes for this year's Best Actor category.

Who Will Win: Yes, in all likelihood, it's down to Dujardin and Clooney. Both turned in praiseworthy performances in their respective films. Dujardin's wordless ways have captivated voters throughout awards season. Likewise, it's impossible to resist Clooney's charms. Both men walked away from the Golden Globes with new awards in their hands. One of them will have an Oscar to add to his trophy shelf come Sunday night. It's essentially a coin toss, but we're putting our money on Camp Clooney. "The Artist" will take Best Picture, and this will be the consolation prize for the "Descendants" crew.

Who Should Win: Gary Oldman for "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy." It's nearly impossible to believe that Oldman has never been nominated for an Oscar before. But that nomination has finally arrived, for a fairly understated performance as far as Oldman roles go, no less. Oldman's espionage veteran George Smiley isn't the flashiest character in the actor's catalog, but it is the first character to earn Oldman a nomination. And frankly, few expected the esteemed British actor to even earn a nomination at this year's Oscars in the first place. But sometimes, all it takes is a foot in the door to win. Consider this Oldman's foot in the door ... and don't be surprised if he manages to sneak the rest of himself all the way in.

The MTV Movies team has the 2012 Oscars covered! Stick with us for everything you need to know leading up to the awards show, and on Sunday, February 26, tune in to MTV.com at 5 p.m. ET for our two-and-a-half-hour red-carpet live stream and updates on the night's big winners.

'Hunger Games' Is 'Very Emotional,' Elizabeth Banks Says

'We really are attached to everybody's journey, and so I'm really excited to see how that all plays out,' actress tells MTV News.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Elizabeth Banks
Photo: MTV News

It's hard not to love Elizabeth Banks. She's smart, funny, pretty, makes great choices with her roles in film and television and just seems like an all-around great person. And although we've been fans of Banks' work for years, it's her role as Effie Trinkett in "The Hunger Games" that has us almost bouncing off the walls with excitement.

When MTV News caught up with Banks recently, we asked what scenes she's most looking forward to see on the big screen when the film opens March 23.

"I have not seen much of the arena, so I'm excited to see the actual Games. It's very emotional. We really become very attached to the characters, even Cato and Thresh, kind of the bad guys of the book," Banks said. "We really are attached to everybody's journey, and so I'm really excited to see how that all plays out."

Banks said that, for her part, the Reaping was the most challenging and fulfilling sequence to shoot.

"The Reaping is amazing. We get so see a heroine step forward and show herself for the first time and come to life, and it was a really remarkable scene to shoot. It was difficult to shoot under insane conditions, about 105 degrees the couple days we shot it. We had all these young kids there dropping like flies," Banks recalled. "It was madness, and it's also the only time we spend in District 12."

Banks added that the best way to take the edge off the extreme temperatures and conditions during the filming of the Reaping was to lighten the mood between takes.

"I think whenever it's difficult, one of my favorite ways to deal with it is to joke around. We take the work seriously, but we try not to take ourselves too seriously. Woody [Harrelson] is a great partner in crime," she said of her humorous co-star. "He tells really off-color jokes and is fantastically self-deprecating and fun to be around."

'Safe House' Rules Holiday Weekend Box Office

Denzel Washington's latest ekes out a win over 'Ghost Rider' sequel and 'The Vow.'
By Ryan J. Downey

Denzel Washington topped the box office over the holiday weekend as a comic book sequel flamed out.

Two holdovers from last week, "Safe House" and "The Vow," were neck and neck for the top spot during the four-day Presidents' Day weekend and helped push box-office receipts to 11 percent over the same period last year. Washington's "Safe House" was #1, with a four-day total of $28.4 million. "The Vow" followed just behind with $26.6 million, according to studio estimates.

"Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" was #3 with $26.4 million thanks to a very strong Monday. "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" opened at #4 with $25.7 million, followed by the debut of the Reese Witherspoon-starring "This Means War" at #5 with $20.4 million.

"Safe House" has made $82.6 million thus far, making it the second-best 10-day run for Washington, just behind "American Gangster." The drama looks likely to pass the $100 million mark, which will make it the fourth movie in the 57-year-old actor's career to do so. "The Vow" has earned $88.5 million thus far, which means it is now the highest-grossing movie ever for the Sony/ Screen Gems brand.

The second "Ghost Rider" film, based on the Marvel Comics antihero, opened with less than half of the 2007 original's $45.4 million debut. Nicolas Cage reprises the role of Johnny Blaze in "Spirit of Vengeance," which, despite featuring a darker take on the supernatural motorcycle rider (courtesy of the directing duo behind "Crank"), suffered even worse reviews than its predecessor. At press time, "Ghost Rider" sat at 27 percent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer, which averages reviews from critics, while the sequel sat at 15 percent.

The weekend's other new wide release, "The Secret World of Arrietty," was #9 on the box-office chart with $8.1 million. The debut for the animated film, which features English-speaking actors recording new performances in the Japanese film, met with Disney's reported expectations. Similarly, the romance-meets-action of "This Means War" wasn't far off from the debuts of similar fare like "Knight & Day," "The Tourist" or "Killers," all of which had mostly negative reviews and opened between $15 and $20 million.

"Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menance" in 3-D suffered a bigger second-week decline than the similar 3-D re-release of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," but still added enough to the prequel's all-time box-office total to push it past the original "Star Wars" to become the fourth-highest-grossing film of all time. "Phantom Menace" made $10.2 million over the four-day weekend for a domestic theater total of $36 million for the 3-D version.

Two smaller but critically acclaimed pictures continued to benefit from awards season momentum over the weekend. The latest picture from Alexander Payne ("Sideways"), "The Descendants," starring George Clooney, passed the $75 million mark, while silent film "The Artist" passed $25 million. Both movies are up for Best Picture at this year's Academy Awards, among other nominations.

Check out everything we've got on "Safe House" and "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance."

Oscars 2012 Predictions: Best Original Screenplay

Woody Allen will most likely be rewarded for 'Midnight in Paris,' but we have our hearts set on 'A Separation.'
By Kevin P. Sullivan

Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams in "Midnight in Paris"
Photo: Sony Pictures Classic

One of the major complaints about this year's Academy Awards race is that most of the winners feel decided already. Sure, "The Artist" is going to win Best Picture. Viola Davis probably already has Best Actress locked up. But the competition for Best Original Screenplay doesn't even feel like a competition at all. The Academy has already spoken, and they're going with an Oscar favorite.

What's really unfortunate here is not that the category is so predictable, but that the Academy didn't venture more into independent film to find their nominees. "A Separation" stands out as one of the more refreshing nominees, but as the obligatory "indie" nominee, "Margin Call" could easily be swapped out for the likes of Jeff Nichols' "Take Shelter" or Sean Durkin's "Martha Marcy May Marlene."

Of all the films nominated for original writing, here are our predictions for the category in 2012:

Who Will Win: Woody Allen for "Midnight in Paris." After 40-plus years of making movies, Allen delivered a film that went on to become his most financially successful ever. An achievement by a writer/director of his caliber will rarely go unrewarded at the Oscars, and deservedly so. "Midnight in Paris" is perfectly all right with being ridiculous, even going as far as to not explain the main character's time-traveling abilities. More importantly, the film was about something, the allure and emptiness of nostalgia, in a year that's been obsessed with traveling back in time emotionally. Even if the plot became repetitive at times, even the most cynical viewers had to find some joy in watching the like of Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds speaking words written by Allen.

Who Should Win: Asghar Farhadi for "A Separation." Anytime the Academy has an opportunity to do something utterly unexpected, that's where my heart will lie. A win for the Iranian film would not only buck old Academy stereotypes, but reward a truly deserving film. "A Separation" follows a married couple as they decided whether to stay in Iran and care for an ailing parent or leave to better the life of their young daughter. Launching from that already provocative starting point, the film goes unexpected places while keeping the audience's attention every step of the way.

'Hunger Games' Star Wes Bentley's Beard 'Did Half The Work' For Him

Bentley, who plays Seneca Crane, tells MTV News his beard 'took two hours to groom every day.'
By Kara Warner with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Wes Bentley
Photo: MTV News

For those of us who've been following the news surrounding all the comings and goings of the lucky "Hunger Games" castmembers, one of the most intriguing is Wes Bentley in the role of Seneca Crane. Not only does Bentley bring a sense of gravitas to the character, but as we've seen in the released photos, his costume and makeup design is especially interesting.

MTV News recently caught up with the "American Beauty" actor to discuss his pivotal role in the film and how much fun he had sporting that curiously shaped beard, which, sadly, he no longer has.

"I would have loved to have kept the beard but that beard took two hours to groom every day," Bentley said. "I don't want to spend that much time in the bathroom."

We then brought up the fact that the beard has caused quite a stir among fans, spawning its own Facebook page as well as our own tongue-in-cheek interview with the fancy fuzz.

"I saw that. I had no idea my beard was so clever," Bentley said of the interview, adding that he is flattered by all the attention the beard has received. "It's such a cool look. Ve Neill, the makeup designer, did such an amazing job. It's exciting that it's getting that kind of attention."

Bentley insisted that all the credit for the design of the beard goes to Neill, and that all he did was grow out everything as much as it could go.

"I usually come to set with a beard and my hair as long as I can get it so there are options. I saw Ve before we started shooting and she was excited I had a beard because she had something special in mind. It was all her. She went at it for like three hours trying to find the right shape; it was cool."

Bentley joked that having the peculiar design on his face did half of his acting work for him and that he sometimes wishes he kept it.

"The beard did half the work," he joked, later admitting that he got a few curious glances whenever he ventured out to run errands during filming.

"I did go into Target a few times late at night with the beard, because my son was there, it was a little odd buying baby formula with this beard and some of the makeup on."

Oscars 2012 Predictions: Best Original Screenplay

Woody Allen will most likely be rewarded for 'Midnight in Paris,' but we have our hearts set on 'A Separation.'
By Kevin P. Sullivan

The MTV Movies team has the 2012 Oscars covered! Stick with us for everything you need to know leading up to the awards show, and on Sunday, February 26, tune into MTV.com at 5:30 p.m. ET for our three-hour red-carpet live stream and updates on the night's big winners.

Supermodel Beverly Johnson?s Mission To Redefine Beauty

bev1_wide.jpg
When supermodel Beverly Johnson first made the scene more than 30 years ago, she broke down barriers as Vogue?s first African-American cover girl. She?s since spent her life working in the beauty industry, and now, along with her niece, Natalie Fuller, 23 ? who was born with Down syndrome ? she?s once again working to change the perception of what ?beauty? is all about.

?Ever since Natalie was born, I wanted to make a difference in her life,? says Beverly, 59, who admits that, at first, hearing about Natalie?s condition wasn?t easy. ?I was stunned,? she tells In Touch, quickly adding that the minute she held infant Natalie in her arms, everything changed.

Since then, Beverly has become a passionate advocate for Down syndrome awareness, and says she couldn?t have been happier when her niece rocked the runway at a fundraiser organized by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation (Beverly's the Global Down Syndrome Foundation's International Spokesperson). ?When she walked out, the crowd went wild. I was watching her and I was thinking, ?She is a natural!? It must run in the family!? chuckles Beverly, whose daughter Anansa Sims, 33 (also a model), is set to appear on Beverly?s new reality show Beverly?s Full House, which debuts on Oprah?s OWN network on March 31. ?I couldn?t be prouder of Natalie. She?s an extraordinary girl,? says Beverly.

'Breaking Dawn' DVD Sells 3.2 Million In Two Days

'Part 1' of 'Twilight' finale also racks up 50,000 downloads and 80,000 video-on-demand transactions.

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 DVD is, unsurprisingly, flying off the shelves. After the film was released to disc at midnight Saturday morning, it reportedly sold 3.2 million discs over the course of two days.

But, that's not all: The flick also snagged 50,000 downloads and 80,000 video-on-demand transactions during the two-day period when the sales were tracked, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The numbers make "Breaking Dawn" the top-selling release so far this year. It bows at #1 on the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert overall disc sales chart, followed by "Lady and the Tramp" and "A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas."

Now that it can be played on repeat, Twihards are certain to be memorizing every sweet and saucy moment of "Part 1" before the final installment hits theaters this November. A scene from the Bill Condon-directed "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," played at a special Target in-store event just before "Part 1" dropped.

Fans were treated to five minutes of footage, including behind-the-scenes shots of "Twilight" hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner preparing for battle in the woods. The exclusive scene followed Bella as she finds a note in a book with instructions from Alice, explaining what to do to get new passports.

The clip then cut to an emotional conversation between Edward and Bella, who share a juicy kiss. But, perhaps the scene fans most wanted to sink their teeth into was the first shot of vampire Bella, which included those famous red eyes and special-effects-aided speed.

'Friday Night Lights' Movie Still In The Works

'We're not done with 'Friday Night Lights,' ' executive producer Peter Berg tells MTV News.
By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Taylor Kitsch on the "Friday Night Lights" TV series
Photo: NBC

The last time we checked in on a potential movie based on the "Friday Night Lights" TV series, star Taylor Kitsch told MTV News that he knew just as much as we did. "I hear hearsay and all this kind of stuff," Kitsch said, adding that executive producer Peter Berg could always make it happen. "If Pete sets his mind to something, he'll usually get it done."

MTV News was lucky enough to catch up with Berg himself at a "Battleship" preview at Toy Fair in New York, and we asked for an update on the movie.

"Jason Katims, who was our super talented show-runner, is about done with the script," Berg said. "You never know. So much of these things become scheduling. Kyle [Chandler] is busy, Adrianne [Palicki] is busy, Taylor is busy, Connie Britton is busy, but if we can get everyone in the same room at the same time, we all want to do it. We're not done with 'Friday Night Lights.' "

Speaking to a potential plotline, Berg said they plan to involve some real-life elements pegged to former Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach but that things will revolve around Coach and Tami Taylor from the TV series.

"[Katims] has come up with a really great storyline that parallels what happened to Mike Leach, one of my heroes, a coach at Texas Tech who was unjustly fired and unjustly accused of mistreating a player with a concussion, which was proven to not have been the case. He's now at Washington State getting ready for what I think will be a great redemption story," Berg explained. "It would be critical that we get Kyle and Connie [onboard for the film] — we anchored the show around them — and then bring in Riggins, Tyra, Lyla and all other characters as we could get them. But the idea is to really revolve it around the coach."

Kitsch seemed to have reservations about returning to his beloved character, but he's open to a cameo. "I loved the way I left Riggs," Kitsch said when asked if he'd like to continue on with the character. "You never know. Maybe a little cameo or something. We'll see if he even wants me in it."

'Snow White' Star Sam Claflin Reveals 'Mirror Mirror' Audition

'I think Armie Hammer was always their #1 choice,' he says of ending up alongside Kristen Stewart in 'Huntsman' instead.
By Jocelyn Vena

Sam Claflin

"Snow White and the Huntsman" star Sam Claflin apparently had enough charm to be up for the role of the prince in both big-screen adaptations of the classic Snow White fairy tale. In the end, the "Mirror Mirror" producers had their eye on a different young man.

"I think Armie Hammer was always their #1 choice," the "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" star told Teen.com. "But I kind of saw more similarities in their prince and the part I played in 'Pirates,' whereas [with this] I thought I wanted to pick up a sword and I wanted to do a bit of fighting and get a bit grittier and hopefully sort of open a few more doors for me."

Claflin isn't the only one adding some grit to his part: Kristen Stewart's version of Snow is light-years away from "Mirror" star Lily Collins'. "She tends to sort of not be in any princess-like costumes, which is good for her and kind of gives her that badass sort of fighting spirit, I suppose," Claflin said of the armor-clad heroine. "But she looks pretty damned awesome. Thumbs up."

"Snow White and the Huntsman," which also stars Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the film's Evil Queen, opens this summer. A trailer for the darker take on the "Snow" story dropped back in November and gave fans an eyeful of what they should expect from the film, which includes snowy landscapes and even chillier emotions.

"Snow White and the Huntsman" follows Stewart's Snow White and her hunting mentor. After the evil queen, Ravenna, calls for her death, Hemsworth's Huntsman takes it upon himself to train Snow to fight off the Evil Queen after he disobeys her and allows her to live against the queen's orders.

Robert Pattinson Talks 'Twilight,' 'Bel Ami' At Berlin Film Festival

'Having blockbusters in your life is never a bad thing,' he says at press conference.
By Jocelyn Vena

Robert Pattinson appeared at the Berlin International Film Festival on Friday (February 17) to promote his latest effort, the big-screen adaptation of the Guy de Maupassant novel "Bel Ami." During the press conference, the actor opened up about making the film, which follows a manipulative young man who romances various women in 19th-century Paris.

"To work as a journalist? It's funny. I kind of like the idea, especially when he gets into the gossip section of the newspaper," the actor said about his character's job in the flick and how he related it to his own headline-making life.

Click for photos of Robert Pattinson at the "Bel Ami" event in Berlin.

"Something that was written in ... 1885, for it to be the exact same situation as it is now, where you have a template article and you just replace the name and it could be about anybody, I thought that was really funny. But he's not really a journalist. ... It's basically like being a reality TV star now," he said. "It was one of the jobs where you could kind of [get ahead]; he found a loophole in life where he could get money and a reputation by basically doing nothing. It was fun; it was interesting."

As for the film, Pattinson said that he agreed to do it because he thought he might never get the chance to play a character like that again. "It's funny, the structure of 'Bel Ami' and the character of Georges really rarely comes up in movies anymore because he's completely unrepentant, and normally a movie has to teach somebody a lesson nowadays. It was quite fun playing that," he said. "They both have their good sides."

He added that when he first read the script, he related to Georges' motivations. "I read the script a long time ago. I was pretty young. I think I've changed a little bit," the actor said. "I kind of understood that. You create an empire just so you can sh-- on someone else. I think I've grown up a little bit. I'm not as horrible."

The film is much different in tone than "Twilight," and Pattinson addressed any concerns he might have about bringing that audience along to this film, which opens in March.

"I guess my responsibility, I think, it's not necessarily to give anything back other than try and do the best work you can. You get an audience for doing certain jobs, so I think the biggest disservice you can do to your audience is trying to repeat the same thing and to come just to get money or whatever," he said. "If a 'Twilight' audience would come watch 'Bel Ami,' it's a movie that I wouldn't have thought that audience would go to, so I think that in some way, it's kind of doing a service to someone. I felt like I learned a lot from it."

Pattinson spoke about balancing smaller films with big ones like "Twilight." "Having blockbusters in your life is never a bad thing," he said. "When you're making it, if everyone is expecting it to be a blockbuster, it's kind of lame."

Pixie Lott flaunts her style at LFW as she changes into one ensemble after another?

For those who work in the fashion world, London Fashion Week is about looking at future trends and the work of emerging designers ? but let?s be honest, for celebrities its all about showing up to various fancy events in nice outfits in an attempt to get noticed by the press.

And this weekend Pixie Lott did exactly that as she changed in and out of different impressive looking ensembles, all of which certainly made us sit up and take notice of her.

We spotted her wearing four different frocks in the last few days; at the Felder Felder show she wore a floor length sheer dress which was slashed to the thigh and paired with boots. At the PPQ show (where she sat next to a very pregnant Pixie Geldof) she wore a chic black jacket, at the Temperley one she donned a cute leopard print dress while at the Mulberry?s show she wore a blue jacket paired with a light blue skirt.

There are still a few more days of LFW left, we only hope Pixie keeps up the good work while it lasts.

'Breaking Dawn' Secrets Revealed: Kristen Stewart's 'Doll' Double

"It was creepy ... in a good way," special effects supervisor tells MTV News of creating the Kristen Stewart look-alike.
By Kara Warner

Kristen Stewart in "Breaking Dawn - Part 1"
Photo: Summit Entertainment

For all the "Twilight" fans familiar with "Breaking Dawn," via both Stephenie Meyer's source material as well as the movie "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," you know that the much-discussed, heavily hyped birth scene is one of the more graphic and disturbing scenes in all of Meyer's mostly PG-rated world.

It's safe to say that curiosity was fully piqued when it came to seeing how director Bill Condon decided to adapt it in the film.

In a nutshell, the scene is pretty graphic and cringe-worthy. For those who have seen the "Making Of" documentary with the recently released DVD/Blu-Ray or happened to catch the sneak peek MTV News got ahead of time last week, you've been introduced to the Bella doll that the filmmaking team used in place of Kristen Stewart for a few scenes. This week's Twilight Tuesday brings you a few fun details about the making of the doll, to which I affectionately refer as "Robot Bella" (even though it/she is clearly not a robot).

According to John Rosengrant, the film's animatronics and special makeup effects supervisor, the idea behind the creation of the Bella replica doll was to make the birthing/near-death scene appear as real as possible and to show Bella in her very emaciated form that Meyer describes in the book.

"It's very hybrid, the approach," he told MTV News. "We tried to shape the whole Bella, what she looks like emaciated and all that, but it's also digitally augmented, and that was from the get-go, this was going to be a hybrid-type effect."

If you look closely at the features of the doll, especially when Robert Pattinson is shown acting out that very emotional scene with it, there is a creepy element involved.

"It was creepy when we created the look of her, in a good way," Rosengrant said. "I was actually shocked that that was the edict and I think that is maybe [credit] to Bill Condon as the director, wanting to make something like that real because the previous movies didn't strike me that they would embrace something like this."

What are you looking forward to most in "Breaking Dawn Part 2"? Leave your comment below!
